Hadi - Seminyak Meet Syaiful Hadi, "Please call me Hadi". He comes from Banyuwangi in East Java, where he was born in 1974, and he has lived in Bali since 1998. He says, "Bali is a good place to work because there are more job opportunities here due to tourism". Hadi has worked at Jari Menari since 2000 and is married with two sons and one daughter. In his position as a general manager and senior trainer, he ensures that the quality of massage and other spa treatments is controlled and that all of the therapists work according to standard operational procedures. Hadi was on the opening team at Jari Menari, he has been here since the very beginning, back in the days when he used to take the laundry home to wash. Each day, he would get to work early so that he could clean all the operational tools before the customers started arriving. He enjoys telling his story, "When I first applied for the job, I did not speak English and I did not have massage skills. Jari Menari didn't just give me a job, it gave me the opportunity to learn massage and English and so very much more. I have been trained in Esalen massage, which was developed in California, and my qualifications include diplomas in body massage, anatomy and physiology from PIBI in Surabaya, and CIBTAC, and CIDESCO in London. Furthermore, my work as a trainer has taken me to places such as South Africa, Morocco, Thailand and Mexico to provide the training for the opening teams at new spas. Asked what Jari Menari means to him, Hadi replies, "Jari Menari is the source of income for my life and my family. Jari Menari supports my children's education. I am proud to be working for a company that is internationally-renowned. Because Jari Menari has always embodied my dream, I also invited my brother and my cousin to join the team. What I like most about my work is the challenge, getting to know other people's characters, and also learning about other cultures. I love being part of the team at Jari Menari, we share our different knowledge and experiences with one other, and we all cherish the spirit of togetherness".
